The Three Quarter Swing

S_47_new

You are approaching the end of the learning process. Once this section is completed you will be armed with all you need to know to hit good golf shots consistently.

Let us look at the ¾ length golf swing.

The limits of the ¾ length swing are from arms to 10.30 to 1.30. Let me show you how to swing the club like this.

Learning the Three Quarter Length Swing

The action of my wrists and arms is over by the time I have finished my ½ swing backswing. The swing is lengthened by the turning motion of my chest.

The golf swing involves creating motion. In golf you create all of the speed, unlike other sports where you must react to a moving ball. Controlling all of the movements is the key to becoming a consistently good player.

In this section I will show you how to use your body turn and weight shift to create power.

Goal for the Three Quarter Swing

I want you to be able to feel the transitions from ¼ swing to ½ swing to ¾ swing in a flowing motion.

You must remember that this is a golf swing and that swing means motion. All of the work that you do on your golf swing should be done in the smaller version of the full swing.

If you cannot make a ½ swing work properly I promise you your full swing will only exaggerate the problem.
