Playing in the Hazards - Bunker Shots

This is an important rule to remember before starting with the actual lessons!

The rules of golf state that you cannot ground your club in a hazard. Since a bunker is a hazard, you cannot ground your clubhead behind the ball at address. This means that you will have to hover the clubhead just above the sand.

It may take you a while to get used to this if you are an inexperienced golfer. However, holding the club above the sand will make your takeaway easier and you should not consider this rule as any kind of disadvantage.
