The Low Shot

Any time you play in windy conditions you will be pleased that you read this section and practised hard on the range.

You need to put the ball further back in your stance, around the middle is a good starting point. Keep your weight slightly ahead of the ball by pushing your hips forward towards the target. Grip down an extra inch on the club and make a smooth 3/4 length golf swing. Be careful that you do not slide forward on the downswing. If you make your angle of attack too steep the ball will fly high and right. The best feeling for me is to keep my body still and to use a smooth 3/4 arms and shoulder movement.
