This is a great shot to play when you have a good lie with no obstacles between you and the hole. When you use this technique, you will hit a shot that flies low and runs like a putt when the balls hits the green.
If you are on the fringe or fairway you should consider using this shot first as it is the easiest to play. Follow along with the fundamentals and you will be able to execute this shot and save yourself many others.
This is the first shot in your short game arsenal. Developing the correct technique and practising your feel for the capabilities of the shot are the keys to success. Take the time to groove the swing motion. Remember that you must hit down on the ball to have ´the pinch´ at impact.
When you are on the course, use Chip No.1 only if putting the ball is not an option. Work hard on your technique and you should be able to master this shot.
