February Gone in a flash

May 26th 2008

I stayed home in January watching my little baby get started in life. The effort from my wife was so impressive and she just seems to have an endless energy.

I have 6 Golf Nights to do this month as I look forward to them as we watch the the European Tour events unfold in Asia.

Arcos gardens is looking really good and I went down quickly to check out how the practice facilities are coming on and to plan our next steps. It rained hard which was bad for my trip but good for the area since we have been behind in rain and our golf course is thirsty.

My major event this month was the winter camp for all the juniors at Kunetichka in CZ and we had a group of 25 down for a week training and playing. The guys hit tons of balls and I tried to get them to really use all our short game facilities to build up better technique in the area of 50 yards and in to the hole. We had a tournament with a Finnish group and some Icelantic players and then a huge dinner and prizes afterwards. Practicing and competing is a great bundle and I think some of the players are really improving.

The owner of Arcos Gardens and I went all over the south of Spain looking at new developments and some new sites as we continue to plan our future in the area and some of the sites and possibilities are just spectacular.

It was a fun month and great to be back teaching in Arcos although I am really looking forward to next year when my new house is finnished and my family can come with me!

Winter is still present in London and although I had lessons at Mill Ride it was pretty grim and course conditions are tough. Word of the month....Head South!
